The Irish aren't even the best winless team in the country. Colorado State owns that dubious honor.
About the best thing that can be said for the Irish right now is that they might be the best 0-4 team in the country ... might.
Right now the BGS Ratings have Notre Dame ranked 99th out of 120 teams, worse than Duke and Central Michigan but marginally better than New Mexico State, Army & Toledo and still significantly better than Rice, Temple and Florida International.
The good news for Irish fans is that they can't drop much lower, so it should be all good from here on in. Let's hope.

Notre Dame is genuinely, fairly undesirable. ask your self the place are each and every of the Notre Dame apologists now who say Notre Dame nevertheless can compete as quickly as Weiss gets going? fact is in the present day's inner-city athletes have 0 prefer to flow to Notre Dame. The background, custom, and conseravite elitsm purely would not resonate with those little ones. Rivalries with provider acadamies do not interest todays elite athletes popping out of high school. those that do care ought to manage ND's difficult academic standards, and that turns away extra playmakers. Weiss would be an magnificent interest coach, however the sport is gained through gamers -- not performs. Notre Dame purely would not have them. whilst the Michigan loss is undesirable, it is not as disasterous because it may look. Michigan nevertheless has a ton of skills on the offfensive fringe of the ball, or maybe with 2 early losses, they have the horses to place up factors on all and sundry. nevertheless, the fact they are able to't score in any respect against an exceedingly suspect secondary speaks volumes approximately the place ND is. i like it. All of those years of ND appearing like their better than every person else "we can connect the super 10 for basketball, yet we are too important to connect it for soccer" -- now who's guffawing.

Its hard to imagine them not winning at least 2 games. But who knows. If charlie had a few more jelly donuts, they might have beaten Michigan State. Did you know he's an offensive genius? They'll probably lose their next 4 games, then they'll get their big test, against Navy. The midshipmen should really be up for that game, since it's a chance for them to make Navy history and end their 43 game losing streak against ND, so ND better be ready for them.
Everyone will be rooting for Navy, after all the abuse our military has taken, and because of the 43 yeqr losing streak.

First of all will some of you stop making excuses for Notre Dame? Willingham didn't even get the program to these depths, and they ran his *** out of town.
With games against Duke, Navy, Air Force, and Stanford they'll win 4 games this season.

They'll beat somebody eventually, but I could see them going 2-10 easily. No Notre Dame team has won less than 5 games since 1963, the last year they lost to Navy and the year before some guy named Ara showed up in South Bend (Over).

Its obvious by your additional comments that you are just bashing ND...If they lose to the service academies and Duke, then it looks pretty pitiful for ND...If ND loses to Navy, Weis will be out this season...Even Gerry Faust didn't screw up the Navy game...

Lucky for them they like to schedule several weak teams. They still play Navy, Air Force, and Duke.
I say they win 2 games this year.

Yes, they will lose at least their first 8 games. Fatty McFatPants will have a coronary due to too many Triple Cheeseburgers.
