2x-5/4<3x-4
2x-3x-5/4+5/4<3x-3x-4+5/4
-x<-2¾
x>2¾
(when you divide or multiply by a negative number you have to switch signs)...this would be the same as:
-x<-2¾
-x+x+2¾<-2¾+2¾+x
2¾
