I need to know how would somebody object to this thesis, that makes perfect sense to me...I need objections so I can understand how the other people think and work on a counterargument.

while acceptance of your own limitations is fine, and acceptance of the things in life that you cant change is fine, other types of acceptance can stunt your development, and prevent you from improving yourself and the world you live in.
only after not accepting situations or conditions that are negative, and trying to find solutions to them, can you or should you accept that you havent yet found a solution,
think about the reality of lives with total acceptance, drugs or methods to prevent disease would not be/of been found, people would of just accepted an average life span of 40 years or so, if slavery was still accepted, we would still have slaves, the list goes on and on, if people simply accept life as it is, nothing changes or improves
so there is a big difference in accepting what you cant do anything about, which is a small percentage of life, and accepting all of life
and i really think anyone who said "the best life is a life of acceptance" is only referring to their personal self, not others, you would want and need others in life to not be so accepting, so that your welfare is provided for, and humankinds best interest are thought of

I would not object to someone choosing a life of acceptance, because then they'd be at peace with whatever course life takes.

However, I'd say that the people who affect postive change in our world did not choose such a life. Whether it be a fight against racism, sexism, tyrrany, or countless other injustices, people who stand up and ACT have a definite impact on our lives and our childrens' lives on this earth.

Whether or not it's the 'best' life is subjective. I'm sure many political, social, and religious leaders who have had positive influences on our lives did not choose the easy road. But I'm thankful that they made that choice.

A life of acceptance has pros and cons.

The pros, no fighting to be dominant and to stay dominant, less wasted energy, a person who accept assume that someone will look after their needs, the person who accepts by choice, not by ignorance, usually has reached a higher level of consience and spirituality and is usually more serene and peaceful then people who don't accept. They know about the Secret. They know about the law of attraction as they live it.

The cons are...missed opportunities, people taking advandage of you, and a constant state of internal chaos, with very little peace, a constant state of doubt and end up envying of people who accept.

After reading the pros and cons, i can't object as I agree with a life of acceptance.

I wouldn't object at all. Did someone tell you this way of living is wrong? Oh, no, not at all. It's called going with the flow. It's especially great when you're in a current.

Acceptance is a good thing except when being too accepting lets the powers that be take advantage. Acceptance also means to change things you can change and to leave the things that can't be changed alone...

I would not object because I feel as you, that the best life is one of accepting and even embracing everyone and everything.

I find there are stages -- tolerance, acceptance and enjoyment.

You can accept reality, but you could also go to the next step and enjoy it.

Racism is a good example. We could tolerate others. We could accept others. Or we could learn to enjoy others.

Acceptance is only the half-way mark.

You live in a town with great wealth and resources. You have no army. I have an army. I come and take everything you have and destroy your town.
Will you continue living with acceptance after that?
