I have to agree with 1. The fact is things can and will always go wrong even if one plans for ever conceivable idea of what that might be. There is always one that pops up at the worst possible time and usually in the worst possible place. I mean if you are playing golf and their is one little tree in the fairway and you aim away from the tree, well guess where the ball usually ends up? Yep right under that tree or even will end up some way of hitting it. I mean it's almost maddening. Something will always go wrong, and usually does. That is why it is best to be flexible and able to deal with the little frustrations in life. The idea of "If anything can't go wrong it will is true to, but I find that for 99.99% of things in life always have something that could and will go wrong with them. =)

The first one.. if something can go wrong it will.. YOu might try to keep from it happening but it will go wrong any way. I have seen this happen too many times to dispute that therory.You cant stop something from happening no matter how hard you try.
