I want to get a divorce. We own a home. There are 10 more years on the mortgage. I want to move out and buy a condo, but I can't afford it without half of the sale of the house money. He won't move out. I'm so confused about what to do. I could use some guidance, please.

You may not be able to buy something until you have yourself in the right financial situation. Rent an apartment until you get better settled in all aspects. There may be some monies coming to you upon the settlement of the divorce including half of the house he doesn't want to move out of regardless of whether he sells it or not. He still owes you half. Get a good attorney and move forward with this but find yourself a nice apartment and get out.
