Also what does GLBT mean and what does a women's potluck social group have to do with it?

Potluck is kinda like a smorgasborg. Everyone brings a dish of food. And you get a plate and dig in. It's the Raleigh Women's Club Potluck, I would think anyone can go. The food was made by the women's group.

You are erroneously jumping to the assumption that only women are involved. Potluck dinners, in which everyone brings an assigned dish to a shared meal gathering, traditionally are organized by women and women's organizations, but not exclusively. Incorporating food into social events is a custom of both men and women, but, more so among women due to their traditional role of family food preparers and because, especially in the past, women usually had little else materially than their artful and tasty concoctions assembled from their larders to share with others. Although a women's group may take the time, make the effort and have the healthy vision to organized such socially beneficial events, men and women and oftentimes children are guests at these events. Perhaps you might venture a little into normal society and enjoy a potluck dinner yourself sometime. Contact a nearby church and ask about how you might participate in a potluck dinner.

If your intent here was to "expose" another Yahoo Answers participant as gay, you are demonstrating immature social behaviors, including an implied homophobia, as though you might harm this participant by exposing her sexuality. Homophobia and misogyny have strong latent homosexual tendencies. You should not be afraid to explore your own possible homosexuality and perhaps you might be a happier, healthier more socially mature person.

GLBT is gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgendered.
A women's pot luck social group is just a bunch of women who want to socialize with other women and they each bring dish to the get to gether.
I assume that men could come but then it wouldnt be a women's group. if both sexes came it would be more of a couples or mixers group and probably different issues would be discussed.

GLBT = Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered.

The entire page you linked to is for events for the homosexual/bisexual/transgender community. Not that's it's a bad thing. You just might not want to show up to that kind of thing if you don't know what it's about.

It's a lesbian social. Potlucks and coffeehouses are traditional lesbian get togethers.

Be sure to call ahead and ask if they welcome straight allies, if you're not a lesbian.

Either way, have fun!
