At first like a real idiot..then I laugh at myself and shrug it off as one of those things. What is really humiliating is pointing at yourself and asking.."Who me?" Like I don't deserve a smile and wave!

How Do You Know That The Instigator Wasn't Waving At You And Used That Other Person As A Detour To See How You Would Respond?? Aside From That, A Little Embarrassed!! Hey, It Happens All The Time, Nothing to Sweat.

Well I would feel a bit embarrassed but i would quickly get over it and wait for the next attractive person in traffic to smile and wave in my direction and hope no ones is actually behind me.

I'd assume from the start that they were waiving at someone else. If you saw me, you'd understand. I'm old and fat.
