Ok so I'm a singer/songwriter. At the place where I perform, people love the songs I write but they also request certain songs that they think I would sing well. Is there a place where I can get the music and chords to popular songs?

You can download 'free karoke software' by doing a search and the better rated ones will remove the vocals and you can then save it as a .wav file and burn it to cd to play where you want to perform it. ;P
