If a sample of the compound C 3H 2Cl 6 contains 21 moles of C atoms identify how many moles of Cl atoms it contains.

help plz.

basically follow the ratio, since you have 21 moles or carbon, and in the formula you have 3 carbon, 2 hydrogen and 6 cl,
then just divide the carbon with the number of moles you havel 21/3 = 7. multiply that number with the hydrogen and cl, and you get the number of moles. so 6 * 7 = 42

Twice as many Cl atoms as C atoms, therefore 42.
