I've taken 5 pregnancy test and they all said negative. The last time my period started was August 28. I've been constipated and feel sick sometimes but no other symptoms. I did recerntly lose about 10 lbs this summer but i though it was gradual and i also just started a new job and also school. I do get very bad stabbing pains in my stomach however especially if there is any pressure on my stomach area. The only thing is these pains are usually to the side of my body or right below my rib cage. I plan on going to see my gyn this week, but like I said 5 test all came up negative! Could it be b/c of my loestrin b/c it did make my period pretty abnormal. Oh there is another thing when I'm suppose to get my period i had a white discharge that would last the length of my period and then go away. Help me please!

You definitely need to see your gyn. Something is going on. It could just be an infection but it could also be something more serious. Only an exam and possible ultrasound will tell.

Chances are, your pill pack will say that if you miss two or more periods to go see your doctor, so it's a good thing that you've made an appointment with yours.

One thing to keep in mind, because you have had negative pregnancy tests-pills like the one you're on (ones that contain both synthetic estrogen called ethnyl estradiol, and a synthetic progesterone called a progestin, which has many names like norethindrone, levonorgesterel, etonorgesterel, and so on) work in three ways to prevent pregnancy. They prevent you from ovulating, which means without an egg released you can't get pregnant, they thicken the mucous at your cervix making it very hard for sperm cells to get through and they make the lining of your uterus thinner (which is why many women have shorter, lighter periods on the pill.) Sometimes the pill can cause the lining to be so thin there isn't anything to shed causing people to miss periods.

Loestrin is the birth control that advertises shorter, lighter periods. I'm sure it's the pill causing all of this. The first time I went on birth control it made me sick to my stomach, I was also constipated. If you were pregnant, a test would say so. I'd get checked out by the doctor though, tell him/her your concerns and maybe switch to a different pill. You could be having a reaction.

Good luck with everything, and feel better soon!

It's possible.. usually a test would pick up the HCG hormone by now but that's what's going on with me too. Get a blood test done and if it's negative ask for an ultrasound. (that's what I had to do) negative blood test but definite baby action on the ultrasound. Do you have any other symptoms like.. sore breasts more saliva than normal fatigue cramps noticable veins on breasts (i have them all over.. but they're most common on breasts) Definitely go to your doctor cos if you are you need your prenatal vitamins =]

Well first off, it hasn't even been a full mnth. But you should go see a dr., you might not even be pregnant. Some women can even skip a period from too much stress. How long ahve you been taking this pill? Maybe your having a side effect from it, did you read the side effects? Or it could be something else, you should even see your reg. dr.
