Wow, some people really don't get your point. It seems that life before the womb is valued, but not once it is valued.

I asked the same question before when the article was first published and got some horrible answers. Life is life. Let's honor the parents who want their children by providing their children with the health care that will insure their survival.

Because conservatives aren't pro life but pro birth for religious reasons.Once you're out of the womb you're on your own.The unborn and gay people who try to have equal rights are the only times these self proclaimed Christians let their faith influence their policy choices.

America as a whole does worse in infant mortality rate than communist Cuba under the crippling US embargo.

I see your point. However, if it's wrong for conservatives (and it IS wrong) to call pro-choice liberals "abortion-on-demand" murderers; it's also unfair for liberals to characterize Republicans as "anti-life" just because of an increase in infant mortality rates.

Apparently this proves that, contrary to Republicans' common opinion, there must be Republicans having abortions too.

Shocking.

And yes the Times is a valid newssource, Ricard. Nice way to not answer a question.

Conservatives are generally more anti-life then the most staunch pro-choicers. They refuse to support the poor, homeless, and disabled, and they support wars that lead to the deaths of millions(Iraqis and Americans). They could really care less about a bunch of poor ****** in the south who are to "lazy" to afford their own healthcare. These people make me so sick.

My educated guess: no prenatal care, drugs, low birth weight due to teenagers giving birth

Ha! What a lame justification for the murder of innocent, unborn children, Lib. Try again.

Unlike the Yankee Commentary, NY Times is not a source with credibility.
