I still have yet to 'overcome' it... I killed many people in a few wars, all in the name of war.
Funny thing about shooting a man. You take away everything he ever was, and everything he could have been...
War is hell, even though i'm home now I still deal with it hourly.
I quit drinking, and that has helped a ton, I quit pot and RX drugs... I am still seeing the images face to face daily... It has ruined many relations in my life...
War... I was trained to kill, and stay alive... Nothing more, Nothing to be proud of. When I came home the second time a lady called me a baby killer outside a shopping store... I just broke down and cried right there... I hated that life...
God have mercy on me.
Please even if you do not agree with the war, still support the troops. you have no idea what images they have acting as terrors in their minds...
I don't think I have ever upened up like this, even to the VA...

Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a severe neurological disorder. I can walk again, device free and I was given the okay, to go back to work(Flight Attendant).
