Ok I posted a question on whether or not people had seen that pink dolphin. I remarked that I hoped SeaWorld would not try to capture the youngster and make him do tricks. And I got a reply that I should not stereotype Sea World, and that they did not capture Dolphins but had breeding programs. So I added that I stood corrected.
But then I got curious and googled Orcas and found two really great websites.
orcanetwork.org/news
and worldanimalfoundation.com
Sea World with holds food to force the animals to perform, they also isolate them.
Male orcas live between 50 and sixty years, and female orcas live between 80 and 90 years. the ones at sea world rarely survive to age 11 years. Then I read the Killing Tanks by Gary Hanauere.
It seems two orcas became so stressed that they repeatedly dragged trainer Jonathan Smith to the bottom of the tank in an apparent attempt to drown him.
Then I read about Lolita, an orca that people are trying to free.
So is Lolita free now.

Thank you, tchaikovsky and frootbat, everything is relevant, just collecting information. I suppose future generations will look on us as being in the dark ages.
