Apparently, when one stands in the guest corridor at one end, he cannot see the other end due to the ship curving down and then up again on the other side. Does this bend/curve actually exist? If it does, is it that dramatic?

Yes it does, and it is pretty dramatic. I was on the tour once and they explained why it is like that, but I have forgot what they said. Put it this way, if you stand at the entrance of the corridor and have someone walk down the corridor by the time they get to the end they have almost disappeared.

Ever since they removed all the engines from that ship, and for the fact that she has not seen a dry dock for over 30 years she has hogged.

The Queen Mary is just a shell of what was once a great ship. And the fact that she is run by pick pockets and carnival barkers I refuse to visit her ever again.

All ships curve on the outside. The inside corridors and passageways are straight. I don't follow the --down and then up again on the other side.
