Teacher John Mark Karr was nabbed in Bangkok, Thailand. He claimed to have been with JonBennet Ramsey at the time she was killed. If he confessed to have murdering JonBennet in 1996, why doesn't his DNA match the mysterious DNA at the scene of the crime? There have been some speculations that two different shoe prints were found at the scene. It becomes obvious that there were two killers. John and Patsy Ramsey were also cleared for her murder. If John Mark Karr was the killer, and that his DNA doesn't match, and the fact that there were two perpetrators in the basement, could the DNA at the scene be that of an accomplace of Karr's? Or is Karr just plain crazy and that the actual killer / killers are still out there? Are there still any possible chances of finding JonBennet's killer / killers and cracking the 11-year old murder mystery? Or will any chance at solving the mystery behind her murder be lost? If you have any knowledge and beliefs, respond to this question.

His DNA doesn't match because he didn't do it. He's just a crazy guy who read too much about the case.
I think this one will continue to be unsolved unless there is a new break like a jailhouse confession. The crime scenen investigation was screwed up from the start, so this case got too hard & too old to solve.

As everyone has pointed out, J. M. Karr is innocent of the crime. What he also is, is an opportunist.
He was in Thailand for all the wrong reasons, dallying with the country's horrible child sex market, as many Europeans, etc., are apparently inclined to do. For what ever reason, the tolerance of the Thai police had reached its breaking point and they were about to arrest him, doubtless for crimes against children. Imagine being in a Thai jail. I can't stand being in a Thai restaurant.
So, opportunistically, he "confessed" to the most controversial child murder in half a century, knowing the Thai police wouldn't touch him, but instead would cart him off to the USA for trial post haste. Didn't he dine on champagne and lobster en route?
Typical of the shrewdness of a person that preys on other human beings. It's doubly sad as it took suspicion away from the likely, albeit now deceased, perpetrator of Jon Benet's cruel demise. Manhunts like that which ensued after J.B.'s or the Simpson/Goldman murders "produce results." The fact that the didn't is testimony to the fact that the guilty parties were standing outside the pool of general suspects due to their visibility, public recognition and wealth.
This dynamic is playing before our eyes once again, as those two, not particularly pleasant Brits thrash on the world stage posturing their innocence. Regardless of the mechanism, BUT for their actions, their tiny daughter would still be among us.

The DNA doesn't match because it would of been impossible for him to of been in Denver to commit the crime. He was at home celebrating Christmas with his family . There are pictures and witnesses.
He has psychological problems .
He also has a predilection towards little children which means he needs to be watched.
I sincerely doubt the case will ever be solved because of crack Detective work. That ship has sailed.
But I do think it may be solved one of these days because the DNA is on file. And you never know when or where the real killer may be tested in the future and the match will be made.

Quite simply, he lied. I'm a mystery buff, and I have read that cops withhold some information from the public to weed out false confessions. There are, believe it or not, nutjobs who will confess to crimes they couldn't possibly have committed for attention. I suspect Karr wanted free airfare back to the U.S. from Thailand and knew that confessing to a prominent murder would be the best way to do it.
As for solving the murder, I doubt that will ever happen.

John Mark Karr is an intergalactic embarrassment.
The people who organized the VIP, first-class trip home for him, are complete idiots. I'm sure they must be Lawyers.

Maybe he hadn't murdered JonBenet at all and just wanted publicity. There are some people so anxious for attention they'll admit to a crime they didn't commit just so they'll be on the front page of newspapers.

Jon Benets parents killed her, and paid off everyone to keep quiet. They acted too weird after her death. They're the killers.
