Yes.
Ooops....
Democrat panties are showing.
They NEVER intended to end the War.
That was old Commie Trick they pulled on the ignorant & gullible Democrat Voters.
All they have to do is Shut Down Funding, just like they did in Nam.
It was all a Hoax to get votes from the little commie democrats.
Cool!!!!!!!!!!
(Note****** please read "jxt299", below. A typical democrat.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but right now they are holding their own in the senate.
"No end in sight for defense budget bill
After 13 days and more than 80 hours of debate on the 2008 defense budget, Senate leaders still have not found a way around the partisan divide over Iraq policy that will enable passage of the $647 billion policy measure.
Concluding a week in which the Senate couldn’t get enough votes for any Iraq-related amendments to overcome parliamentary roadblocks, Senate leaders said they need to do something.
“At some point we have to find a way to end this,” said Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., the Senate Armed Services Committee chairman and floor manager of the defense bill.
At least two more Iraq-related amendments are scheduled for debate Monday and Tuesday, with no signs that anyone can get the 60 votes needed under Senate rules to end debate and force action on legislation."

I totally disagree with pulling out of Iraq before the job is done. That would defeat the whole purpose of fighting terrorism. And, it would also make our troops feel totally worthless. They're there by choice. No one signed up to stay home and do nothing. I personally know one Army Sargeant and have met several others. They've all told me the same thing. "They're 100% pro Bush". And, they think all liberals are total idiots. They don't have a clue what's really going on over there and what our troops are accomplishing. Our news media is way too liberal (the Sargeants opinions, not mine) and they're sick of the criticism.

GREAT... there's only one guy left in the way...
If Bush wasn't there, there would already be pullout plans in place, since congress already passed them...
I seriously doubt anyone in either party will be able to keep it up after the upcoming elections... the Republicans are going to have to come to center to get the needed votes after the primaries...

Badly. Bush still is at the wheel of the runaway madness and we can't get the loon's grip loose. Meanwhile more troops are dying, Iraq is a mess and the Bush authorized private armies are running amok selling guns and murdering civilians. A fine war, Bush, a fine war.

Yeah, they should have brought all the troops home by now. They bragged if they would win the House, it would be done. What happened?

Congratulations to the Republicans for keeping their war going by filibustering everything that could end the war in the senate, or vetoing it by your Mr. Bush. Its your war. 1.5 million dead Iraqis, the people we supposedly came to save...yeah, from their oil. Congratulations. Maybe if the country goes bankrupt and there is a Maoist style revolution the entire class will be liquidated. Did you guys ever learn ANYTHING from history??????????

Slightly better than utilizing the Bush Doctrine to instill Christian fads and 'gun boat' democracy in the middle east. Maybe if we exported a bunch of sandals, they'd not hit us so hard with them?
