I'm really interested in a career that has something to do with tropical fish, but I don't like biology that much? I'm very passionate about my fish, and I want to do something where I could work in an aquarium like the seas in epcot in disney world or something. Anything?

send a friends invite and email to my buddy carl on here. he has dont this for a living in disney CA.

Basically it is very good that your passionate, but you have to be skilled and knowledgeable about maintaining large aquariums, every this that goes in, basic and advanced fishkeeping.

THe problem is, if you arent into the specific of fish, it will put you at a disavantage.

You should be experienced in both freshwater and saltwater.
As most corps have massive saltwater tanks, and hundreds of thousands of dollars invested into these tanks and fishes.

again, carl can help you much more as he has done this for around 28 years. i let him know about this thread, but if you wish to email him, go to my profile and my contacts and go to his profile and send him an email.

go to scuba diving school, take some classes. After u finish, you can be scuba diving intructor, underwater photographer, or be an assistant to researcher who's researching fish.

you could also breed fish, sell fish, or have your own fish shop as soon as you got the money to create one.

Check your fish food brand. Then check the company; are they hiring? such as: hikari food, wardley, etc

Those are some; im sure there are plenty more

Good Luck

You could work at a petstore, or a zoo. Disney would definitly have you working fish and would probably be a very exciting job. Whatever you choose should be fun. Working with fish always is. Good luck!! :0)

My uncle works for the University of Florida's lab/fish farm. My family and I visited him this summer and took a tour of the farm. Basically, fish farms give the lab large quantities of fish and for about 4 months, my uncle and his co-workers find out what food is best for them, diagnose diseases, breed them, etc...

When the four months is over, they give the fish back to the farmer and give them tips on how to raise better fish, medication for diseases and what food to feed them.

They've had numerous kinds of fish such as cichlids, catfish and even the new breed of fish, glofish!
