I've seen so many articles with the headlines "Why her parents killed her" and "Who killed Madeline?" Why are they assuming this poor little girl is dead?

I dont think they care beyond "what a shame " The head lines are ment to generate sales of their magazines and papers. Human interest stories always bring out the best and worst of intentions in people.
lets face it Brittney will still be in the books just on page 26 and Paris well shell soon be starting her own magazine and Brad and Angie well their next adoption will be the baby from outer space. Their is really no reason to beleive what the headlines say until it reads Madeline's been found.

I guess I am guilty of this assumption. There is no evidence that she is alive .... usually going by statistics if kids are not found within 48 hours they always turn up if at all ....dead

it's been so long. they normally say between 48 hours the missing child is dead. it's been way longer than that.
plus they found large chunks of her hair in their rental car.

She's been missing how many months? Usually, if a child is missing for that long, it's because she's dead.
