Although many Christians consider Masturbation to be sinful. The Bible never directly says it is.

However if it makes you feel guilty or sinful in any way. Then pershaps you'd better stop. This issue obviously troubles you in some way, or you wouldn't be here asking for advice.

Perhaps, you need to stop and examine your own beliefs about masturbation. If in the end you don't feel guilty about self-pleasuring... Then by all means, enjoy yourself. But if the guilty feelings overwhelm you each time you engage in this act of self-pleasure... Then masturbation probably is harming you, emotionally.

It is only a sin if you DON'T masturbate.

Masturbation serves many useful functions: it is a way for us to practice sex so we are prepared when we have sex with another person; it is pleasurable and relieves stress; and it purges us of excess seminal fluid (this is especially true for men) which can cause discomfort if we don't release it (otherwise it releases automatically in our sleep when we have wet dreams). It is futile to try to not masturbate. I tried the whole chastity thing one time when I was brainwashed by the religious right and it totally backfired. The more I tried not to do it the more horny I got and wanted to do it more.

God wants us to masturbate. Believe me, if He didn't want us to do it He would have created us so we only could have two orgasms per year. Masturbate all you want and be thankful that God created the miracle of sex and orgasms to keep us happy and to make our lives pleasurable.

IMHO God does not care if you masturbate. He has bigger things to worry about than that. I know I was taught, in Catholic School, that that sort of thing would land you in Hell when you died. I just don't think it's true.

So, that being said, I wouldn't insert anything into the vagina without a condom on it. This will help if you use a "toy' of any kind and don't get it properly cleaned after use. Most women just use their hand or fingers and do all right that way.

Please, don't be ashamed of masturbation. It is healthy, stress relieving, and it feels good and will help you relax and sleep well. I would venture to say that 98% of women do it on a regular basis.~

The Christian Bible says on Masturbation, never spill your seed opon the earth, in other words, both genders have the ability to ejaculate, and just not to get anything that messy. Say, on the carpet and not cleaning up, that is a sin in the bible. It is a very, very normal thing.

I don't understand why it would be a sin, it is not like you are 'wasting' and egg, or aborting a baby. I could see where it could be a sin for a man to do this, he is wasting a mastabastory ejection, which in turn could create a baby. I am a firm believer in masterbation because it makes you feel so good and relieves alot of stress!

first off, masturbation is NOT a sin. don't listen to those christian fundamentalist nutcases because they are trying to force their beliefs on you and you don't need to sit there and take that crap. go forth and masturbate to your little heart's content.

as for techniques, try googling "women + masturbation", i am sure you'll get tons of sites. try different things; masturbation is about finding out what YOU like...it's all about you honey. no man to worry about pleasing, no pressure, no horny teenager with no idea what he's doing. so take your time, try new things, and figure out what you love best because let's face it, you're the only person you have to live with every second of your life so you might as well make yourself happy.

good luck!

It feels good, it isn't a sin, but the important thing is not to let it take over your life.

Its not a sin unless your very religious. Masturbation is actually very healthy, and there is nothing wrong with exploring your own body and pleasuring yourself when your partner can't. Its best to use a toy or have your partner use the toy on you.

Masturbation is not a sin. It is not even mentioned in the Bible.

Just try different ways and speeds of touching yourself you'll find what works for you. Not everyone who has ever done has had the internet to read to help them learn how to, they figured it out on their own.
