Stress can affect your body in a lot of weird ways. What sucks is that your doctor just threw that out there at you and then didn't even offer you any help for it. Get a second opinion.
This is gonna sound like a weird question but do you have, or have you ever had, a yeast infection? Sometimes your body may have a yeast imbalance which may not necessarily cause an "infection" but it can cause you to be really lethargic and depressed. Look into something called the "alkaline diet". Among other things, it can help to correct a yeast imbalance. Good luck!

I feel the same ways some times. Maybe you just need to take care of your body more. Eat a steady, healthy diet. Get the same amount of sleep every night, most people need about 6-8 hours. Also try taking a daily vitamin, maybe you aren't getting enough nutrients from your current diet. Stay away from a lot of sugar filled and caffeinated drinks. I've heard from others that when they cut out sugar and drink a lot of water, they start to feel better. These are the only things I can think of, maybe you should go see a neurologist, it could be something like MS.

First, I would get a second opinion from another doctor. Yes, stress can cause your symptoms, but so can alot of other things. Have your been checked for ulcers? Have you looked into depression? Depression can cause all the symptoms too, and is treatable with medication. Don't discount medication for depression, you wouldn't discount insulin for diabetes. Keep searching for an answer, as hard as it may be.

Stress can do many crappy things. Sounds more like depression though. Stress affects the stomach too. You need to go back to your doc and drum it into his head how you're feeling. You may need to talk to a psychologist so they can diagnose whether you have depression or maybe they can help you manage your stress.

You could have a thyroid deficiency. Symptoms of that are what you stated, plus you get dry flaky skin that feels thicker. You feel cold all the time. If your doctor didn't test for thyroid levels go check it out if you have these other symptoms.

get a 2nd opinion. Sometimes doctors just tell you what they thimk you want to hear. I'm no expert but it sounds like it maybe more than your stomach or stress. Get your thyroid checked and see your Gyno. Something doesn't sound right.

You're probably constipated and don't know it.
We humans are supposed to have between 1-3 bowel movements per day. Anything less is considered being constipated.
Once constipation is relieved, energy levels soar.
Try eating a bowl of Fiber One per day.
One serving is 14grams of fiber.
We're supposed to have between 25-35grams of fiber per day.
