I hate baby or babe, it sounds young and sexually possessive, at least in my history. I like using hun, honey, their name, boy, chico, or anything that would be like an inside joke between the two of us

I call him Boo Berry, and he calls me his Sunshine. :) But I don't actually use the Boo Berry often, just call him "baby' or whatever.
