It depends on where you live. If you live in a major city or near one, 'care' is usually okay...if you live in a small town, good luck getting an appointment with a doctor in under a month and the local hospital may or may not be particularly up to date. Basically, medical care is spotty....and that's if you have insurance. Very few doctors will see you unless you first show an insurance card and it better be one they accept. No insurance? Then it's cash up front and they don't care how much your kid's ear aches. The same situation prevails in almost any hospital unless it's an 'emergency', and they decide if its an emergency or not. There's not much you can do if live in a rural area or a small town as far as CARE is concerned, but insurance is a different matter. UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE would solve the medical CARE problem for millions of americans. Of course everytime you mention MEDICAL INSURANCE, some bozo is going to blather on about 'socalized' MEDICAL CARE. Two seperate things. Bottom line....if you have good insurance and live in major city you'll probably be okay. If you don't have insurance and live in small town America you're going to have major problems to go along with your major medical condition!

We have the greatest health care in the world. Is it cheap? No, but it is the best. I think much of the problems stems from people have have their priorities mixed up. Must have play station for kids, take vacations, eat out all the time, have computers and Internet connectivity in every room, big screen TV with cable or sat dish, and there is no money left to spend on silly items such as health care.

We have the best health care system in the world. Everyone in the US has access to health care. We have too much government interference, which drives up the costs of health care.

I've had no problems with it, aside from Medicare premiums. I pay $70/month, but since I live outside the USA I can't use medicare overseas. The reason I pay now is that if I didn't pay, and then decided to move back to the US and use it I'd have to pay a 10% penalty for every year that I didn't pay while overseas.

I don't have a problem paying for my families health care. The cost could be much cheaper however, if I did not also have to pay for other peoples!

Good if you can get it...sucks if you can't. Even if you can afford it, a trip to the ER or an operation can empty your bank account with the tiny deductibles.
