There are a few ways that they make money. The first way is the interest payments they receive on their loans.

The second way is the nickle and diming that they do when they charge you for additional services. Some banks actually have ATM accounts and will charge you a surcharge to see a teller inside the bank.

Another money maker for them is to charge the account holder a bank surcharge if their account drops below a minimum dollar amount.

They also collect on their excessive overdraft charges and return check charges.

Then there are the excessive ATM fees to use an ATM that is not from your bank. Why should it cost $1.00 or more per transaction to use their ATMs. With the volume of people using their services, they are making more than enough to cover their ink and paper costs.

Banks make money by robbing their clients! Simple!

Banks make money by issuing loans and/or mortgages and then charging interest!

Banks also invest in stock and real estate! Heck, banks often forclose on homes, and then sell the home for profit!

Banks also use your money to issue new loans, and make money off of your money!

Anyway, that's how they do it! Hope this helped out!
