I really do regret it. Because it is a bunch of crap. But then back then no one had an education. How did these morons know how to write? Who would be stupid enough to follow along?

How many people actually wasted their lives to write a cheap Holy Bible?

It makes me sick that I have to witness a funeral today. And humans are saying that a person is still alive in another place. When their actual body is laying stiff in the casket. Can humans be this stupid?

it is crap. and had served no other purpose but to exploit and harm. its been used to justify horrible things. such as slavery (story of noah and his son), and keeping women in submissive roles, and hating gays. It starts wars (bush and his terror crap), and i believe if there is any source of evil. the bible and all christian religions are it!

First of all, I'd like to say that I do not regret the bible being written. Even if you are not a religous person, you can still relate to some of the stories that are in the bible. There are basic things, like the story of Adam and Eve, and how they gave into evil by eating the forbidden fruit. We can all relate to this, because each of us has done something we shouldn't have done. There is also the story of Moses leading the huge group of people across the desert. This is an inspiring story, even if you aren't religous. I do not think that the bible is "a bunch of crap", but I will not become angry because you have said this. You are entitled to your own opinion, and I respect that. However, I do have to disagree with you when you claim that the people who wrote the bible were "morons" and "who would be stupid enough to follow along?" I believe, along with many other people, that the people who wrote the bible experienced the things that happened. They were Jesus's desciples, so they got an "inside look" at everything that happened. I don't think that people are stupid because they believe in God's miracles and follow the bible. It is their choice and their beliefs, so please don't judge them.
About the funeral. I am sad that someone you know has passed away, and I wish you the best. When you say "humans are saying that a person is still alive in another place", that means that the person has gone to heaven. It is not so much their body, it is their soul that has gone to heaven and will live for all eternity with God. I don't think that any human is stupid for believing in something that is important to them. Don't be dissapointed that you were put on this earth. Make something of your life. Travel the world, meet new people, discover who you are in life and what you want. Are you being the person you want to be? Are you doing the things you want to do? I wish you the best and I hope I helped.

Well, i will say that the American education system is extremely lacking, and so is spiritual training in this country, so it's really not your fault that you don't know or understand human history or the point of spirituality.

The bible is a compilation of writings written by thousands of different people (educators, scholars, spiritual leaders, story tellers, etc.) over the course of thousands of years, and represents the history, culture and spiritual practices of the early inhabitants of Africa and the Middle East.

Thousands of writings were taken from the Nile valley (where most writings were archived) from the time of the earliest European invasions, and are under lock and key in various institutions like the Vatican, museums and universities in Europe. What you know as the bible today is merely a selection of those writings, the ones that European invaders were able to translate and loosely understand.

Now, if you are of European descent, that could be a reason why you can't relate. But, if you're going to a funeral, you're probably just upset.

First let's address this confusion that a lot of people or mislead.

You are right when you say that the people are stupid when they say the person is alive in another place.
It just don't make sense, to a normal thinking person.

THE BIBLE DOES NOT TEACH THAT AT ALL. This must be clear to you. The Bible does says, that when we are dead we are dead. The dead knows nothing, remember nothing.

Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ecclesiastes 9:4-6 (in Context) Ecclesiastes 9

NOW LET THIS BE CLEAR TO YOU. THE HOLY BIBLE IS SACRED. This Bible has been written by Holy men as God spoke to them and they write what they heard.
To say that the Bible should not have been written is a curse to us all.
We get wisdom and strength in the Bible. Never mine that many people interpret it the wrong way, it is still the word of God. That's is why when we read the Bible we are to prayer before we open it, there by the Holy Spirit will explain everything and lead us into all truth.

You might not know this, But you know it now. Do you know that the priests and so on used to keep the Bible for themselves and then teach all manner of things to the people? Only the rich had the Bible in those days. They kept it for themselves because they knew if the people read the Bible in there they will find wisdom. However, many years later the Bible was giving to the people (poor or rich) and the people started to read, and as they read they started to get smart, they started to under things. That is when technology started to develop in the world rapidly. You will remember in the 1800 we started to get airplanes, trains, boats you know, you name it, it started to develop.
Those things came about when the Bible was given to the people and they gather wisdom.

Now I tell you this for a reason. You must know want the Bible says first before you condemn it. Read the word of God for yourself. Do go to know church without you opening the Bible and reading it for yourself. Am sorry about you friend who has died. Never the less, if you want to know exactly what the Bible does say, open it for yourself. There by I can guarantee you that you will get comfort in knowing the truth.

Sorry for your loss.

No, I don't regret that the Bible was ever created, I think that it's an important Historical document. But I regret the use some people have done of it. Anyway, it's the same than to blame the Bacteriology for some illness that some human could eventually create. People are responsible, not the Bacteriology that could be useful to create vaccines or other things that could be benefical for the mankind. A knife is a knife, you could use it to cut meat when you have lunch or to kill somebody. Which is responsible here? The knife?

in case you're a real follower of Jesus or had God come into you..you does no longer be asking that query. For Jesus nor God might ever, ever, ever ask that. Christian potential "Christ like" you're basically activity as a Christian is to coach by utilising occasion Compassion, love, and all sturdy character characteristics that an quite loving individual might reveal. "What you have completed to a various you have completed to me?" Is that someplace on your bible? nicely then you definately've pissed the two me and Jesus off with your stupid question.

It's certainly true that the Bible and it's equivalents in a few other religions have been responsible for more wars, death, and general human suffering and misery than any other collection of books in history.

but it does attempt to also teach good things like love thy neighbor and stuff like that. but more bad than good. all we can do is hope for people to wisen up.

Absolutley not. We share in the struggle of the prophets, to maintain "God's" love, but we are also open to the transcendental nature of not only Europe, but the world's history.
