I don't know, unless people think it's too "sweet," or corny or something. Personally, I love Disney DVDs, and can't wait until all my old favorites are re-released. They do make them kind of expensive, though.

I know a lady who worked for them for a few years, and she hated it, but I don't really know why.

OK, so they make money. The stockholders don't mind that. And if they're making money by selling quality products, they have earned it.

P.S. I don't consider changing a traditional story the same thing as "messing it up." It just means you want to read the original as well. Like Alice in Wonderland, where they combined elements of the original Alice and Through the Looking Glass to make one movie, but it was well done.

I have no objection to stories for children having a happy ending. Why do you, up there?

They are SO FAKE, that's what! I watched the Wendy Wu movie and in all her fights in a dress, it never went up as it should in reality. Even the Little Mermaid had the story altered so children wouldn't have to deal with Ariel's death and made it end 'happily ever after' with her marrying the stereotype dark-haired prince. Children need reality sometimes, not the cheesy storylines they cook up to shield them. For goodness' sake, children can handle a piece of paper's death these days!

disney is like a bubble that sheilds kids from the real world. like have you ever been to a high school as juvenial as the one in high school musical. the main reason why teenage girls watched it was because they think zac efron is hot!!!
