Though I believe in the Christian faith, I believe as many Jews, that there is not literally an afterlife because there is just one life and we spend part of it on Earth. I won't go into details, but I believe I have been to heaven in a vision. It was a state of pure bliss. Can't prove it, of course, but it's very real to me. Einstein proved the possibility of the dimension of heaven with the theory of relativity. Time stops beyond the speed of light, and that's where I believe heaven is. Also, energy cannot be created or destroyed, only change state. The body is identical chemically after the moment of death and the life energy that was there has to be someplace! Much longer answer than I intended. peace

How am I suppose to know if you believe in a life hereafter?

If I take your Q literally, I have no idea if you do or don't believe. If you're asking if we believe, here is mine. I believe what physicists say: Energy cannot be destroyed--it simply changes form. (Such as ice melts, evaporates and recondenses in the form of rain, snow etc.) Life is certainly energy and I choose to believe that that my form my change; I may be in another plane; I probably will have no memory of this life; and that hopefully, all that I have learned in this one, will be transferred into the next to be used to maybe help others and learn more and problem-solve.

False.
Obviously this is only my opinion and it cannot be conclusively proved, but no firm evidence seems to point to a 'hereafter'.
It appears to me that you die and that's it. This concept of a 'soul' is a strange one to me - if you can find a soul, then I'll believe it can go to heaven.

I believe it to be true, maybe not in the traditional Christian way, but in my beliefs, when you die, it does not just end, there is another journey ahead of us.
