I dont got a lotta cash and my parents are going to be finished working in a few years. I want to ship them off to a hippie commune where they get free food shelter and medical care and just have to chip in 40 hours of work. They also get a great social life. I wouldnt be ina hippie commune myself because Im still a young man and being in a commune is like being in a computer game it may feel good but it aint real. But its a great place to retire so why dont they just do it? Plus u dont have to put any money in to join. And then id get my parents house.

Maybe your parents don't want to retire. My mom still lives in the house I grew up in. I don't want it because I don't want to live where she lives. That's neither here nor there since I have my own house. You should probably just start saving to buy a house. Your parents will probably stay in theirs until they have to go to a nursing home. Then they'll probably sell it to insure they have enough money to live on.

If my mom wants me to support her in her old age, I'll keep the hippie commune in mind, lol. Personally, I'd rather be in one than in a nursing home!

You might just do them a favor and move to one yourself. After all, you cost them more money over your lifetime than they will ever cost you. Go to P&S if you want to be cute.

Or you could just pay them back every cent it cost them to raise you and they could live really well and not need you to take care of them. Ever think of that????
