Most of my ancestors lived in the first 13 colonies
since the early 1700's. (Of the United States) Their heritage
was English, Scottish, German, Austrian, and Swiss with
one royal Italian in their midst. My Grandfather was a German immigrant, and a brick Mason. (As far I as I know
anyway, I am still researching their lives.)

My family is pure Pennsylvania German. Three of the four sides had someone who came here before the American revolution. I don't know much about the fourth side, except that there's an old town somewhere in the south that was founded by one of my grandmother's ancestors, so it's likely that all four sides have been here that long. Don't know anything about my great-grandparents except that they were PA German, and my father's brother traced our ancestry from a bastard son of Frederick the Great of Prussia. He came here to fight in the Revolution as a Hessian soldier, and never went back.

I'm 1/2 Cree and 1/2 Acadian....so half native and half white! And no one knows exactly where either of my ancestors came from. The Cree- probably from Asia over thousands of years. And my particular Acadian family name may have come from England, Denmark, or France- no one really knows.
