you're very welcome, and congrats on your fry :)
very nice pics and a great video

I do have snails in my tank, but i also have the feeling that they do a great cleaning job

As for turtles, you definately need a tank just for them
I have Red ear sliders
I have my tank halfway filled with water
an inside filter (not a hang on)
a basking place for the turtles, because they need to be able to get out to dry
a special UV light, just for them
and a heater for the wintermonghts, which are from october to april for turtles

Hope that helps
Good luck

500, hmm? Did you actually count them?

Anyway, thanks and congratulations of the successful spawning. Now the easy part is done and the harder part begins!

Snails do poop a lot, but I find their poop to be easier to clean up than uneaten food and fry wastes. At least with the snails, it's in pellets so it's easier to see and siphon out of the tank. I made a "mini siphon" from a piece of air tubing and the piece of rigid plastic that goes up through the center of the undergravel uplift tubes. This is just slightly narrower than the tubing, so it's harder to catch the fry. You just aim it at the snail poo and bend the tubing to stop the flow.

For a turtle (I'm assuming you're asking about an aquatic like a red-eared slider?) you'll need a tank, a way for it to get out of the water (turtle dock, rocks built up on one side of the tank, log), a UVB basking light, possibly a water heater, dechlorinator for the water, thermometer, and food. You can get more specifics about the tank size, adult size of the turtle, what they need to eat, etc. from this website fro red-eared sliders: http://www.redearslider.com/ Or this one for RES and other species (see under "Turtle Care" then "care Sheets"): http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/

A turtle, you would need to buy turtle food at the pet store and just give it some water, unless its a swimming turtle, then give it enough to completely submit itself underwater.

congrats on the babies, it does take time and practice so if it failes dont worry about it.

Again it takes research and conditioning and thats the key.

Edit: snails...... i personally dont use them as i feel that they produce more waste than the "clean up"
