Based upon my own personal experience, none.

Western psychology seems to make everyone out to be a victim.
Being a victim provides and excuse for ones inappropriate behaviors and actions as it is not their fault, it is the fault of the person or persons who victimized them.
This becomes a never ending cycle as the ones who victimized you were also victimized by someone else, who were victimized by someone else, etc., etc., etc.
Logically, we end up with "original sin" which leads one to blame God for having made things this way.

Abdicating personal responsibility, decrying the consequences of ones actions and then claiming that life isn't "fair" has not worked well in western society and is not likely to resolve any issues. It will, in fact, only cause more.

Modern psychology, with its "pop lingo" and "one size fits all" labels, its ever changing and always trendy practices ( a new book out every week!) and medications without a true understanding of how they actually may effect ones mind, emotions and brain functions have only held many prisoners in chemical chains rather than having actually cured a "disease" and , thereby, have freed no one.
