I am in a league where the money goes to the person with the most accumulated points at the end of the season. Year over year we are allowed to carry three people from our rosters. I placed extremely poorly last year and my roster is brutal.

Through out the season we have three players at each position that actively accumulate points for us.

A gentlmeman in the pool has said that he would trade brad richards and/or martin st. louis. The only players i have of any consequence whatsoever are Malkin, Marleau and Nash. I think that Nash is injury prone and more sizzle than steak. I would like to secure both of those lightning players.

How lop sided of me would it be to offer malkin and nash for st. louis and richards? Is there anyway i could get away with nash and marleau for the two Tampa players?

I fail to see any lopsidedness here.

If I'm making St. Louis available...........you have nothing to interest me.

If I'm making Richards available..........you better be parting with Malkin.

If I'm making both available as a package....again, you have nothing to interest me.

So, if your team is as brutal as you say it is, this gentleman is probably already aware of your hockey pool prowess (or lack thereof), and therefore the chances of you taking advantage of him are very slim (which is exactly what you are trying to do)

Personally I think you'd be smarter to keep Malkin and Nash. Chances are Nash will put up similar numbers to Richards (who is not the same without Modin there) and Malkin will likely be near St. Louis in production PLUS you obviously play in a keeper league which makes a young stud like Malkin all the more valuable!

I don't think he'll accept your offer of Nash and Marleu for St. Louis and Richards. Your best bet would be to offer Nash for Richards straight up and play the "they both had down years" card. Whatever you do...keep Malkin!
