As a general rule, no; but it goes on, usually in a minimal way.
If he is concerned about moral issues and if he is even handed about issues, yes. And if he is issue oriented rather than aligning himself with a certain political party, yes. A clergyman is supposed to be spreading God's word. God is the lord of all mankind, rich and poor, tall or short etc. The clergyman should keep that in view. In most cases it is not wise for him to get involved. Like the rest of mankind, they are tempted to get very emotional about it and lose their way.

No....look at the middle-east. When democracy sticks its nose into places it shouldn't be, bad things happen...hint hint Iraq.
Sorta....Separation of Church and state. But, it is whatever the people want. As long as he was a true follower of his religion, then I have no problem with it...but if he is a hypocrite, then I would not care for him to be in any political seat.

The clergy question is an interesting one though...we keep them separate and yet.....Jesus life and death were political. I am not sure how I feel about it.

#1. Pratially if it effects america, like with the mexican exodus to the u.s. We should have vicente fox get a better economy.

If the one government gave the other government life like Iraq then yes.
As for #2 it is a unavoidable occurence.
