I am a little backward than going forward when it comes to making friends.
I have been hurt too often to be able to open myself up to anyone close to me.
I guess the anonymity of this site, allows me to say things that I otherwise keep bottled up inside me.

I have some dear friends that I have known most of my life and we take turns making each other feel safe, loved, listened to and laugh through the misery!

Yes..All he had to do was look at me and I knew he would give his life to keep me safe and would give everything he had to make me happy. He made me see myself as a beautiful person, who was worth caring about. He's the reason that I've got a life worth living, even with the bad things that happen around me.

Yes, some of my friends who labeled in the society as insane are making me feel safe than those whose are considered sane.

I always felt safe with a certain principal of one school where I taught. She seemed to know the ins and out if we had a terrorist to come, and etc.

Besides myself and my immediate family, no one else really matters. It's nice if you can get someone outside of your family to make you feel that way, but that's a rarity.

I have/had several good/not-so-good friends who are/were marines and who have/had excellent weapons that made me feel SAFE/scared.
