It's because some people are either blinded or being deceived to the fact that the person that is a mean person really is a mean person as the mean person might lead them to believe that they are a really nice person or it could be that the mean person's friends are mean as well. They say "birds of a feather flock together" or something like that. I think I messed that saying up big time lol.

Most of the "friends" are actually hangers on. For some reason the herd mentality is strong in the weaker people. These "friends" need examples to live by as they are not strong enough to make their own decisions about who they really are.

Because they are really scary when they're angry and nobody would want to get on their bad side. And plus, have you ever noticed? The more "attractive" people have more friends because the friends want to be cool and the "popular" person thinks they can do whatever they want. There's this popular girl in my school and she told everyone that she would beat up my bff! She's very strong, but of course, she never comes alone. Good thing my bff got picked up from school by car and the popular girl couldn't get the chance. Oh by the way, she dumped her boyfriend because his mom wouldn't let him go to the school dance.

I'm not really sure. Maybe some see mean as really cool. Kind of the same as girls who like the bad boys. Doesn't make much sense, but it keeps happening anyway.

Opposites attract.. Just the way the world turns.. I wouldn't be so mean if I didn't have to wear this straight jacket all the time.. It would be nice to be able scratch an itch when I get one...

Maybe it's because they are afraid not to be friends with them because if they're not their friends then they have to deal with the meanness as a non friend?? It's the only thing that would explain it to me!!

Because misery loves company, dear. It's best they travel in numbers for their own protection.
