When you consider which game system you want - see the bigger picture.
If you buy a machine that costs 100 bucks - but every game costs at least say 40 bucks - buying cheap might be a false economy
When buying a machine, consider the costs of not only the games, but the range of games and other accessories available. If you can, think about the expected lifespan of the machine before something bigger and better comes along.

A PS2 is cheaper than a PS3 and the PSP Slim is gonna cost $180. Don't buy a PS2 because game developers aren't making games for the PS2.

Both PSPs will remain at around 160-170 (get the new one, the original sucks). But if u want some good games, forget the psp. ps2 has many great game at a price tag of only 130 dollars new.
