You have lots to choose from! First of all, any printer works with Vista. Its a bit confusing because it often says on the boxes "works with windows 98, 2000, XP" and they miss Vista out but this is cos the boxes were printed before vista was made. I have a 10 year old printer and it works fine with Vista so dont worry, Vista configures printers etc itself without you having to do anything. Even if you dont have the right stuff on your pc it'll connect to the net and download and install it for you.
I dont know which country you're in but here in the UK then Pc world has some printers starting from £25. Be careful of buying one thats too cheap - the printer may only cost £25 but the cartridges cost £25 each everytime you have to replace them! Generally if you spend more on a printer it will use ink more efficently, saving you money in the long run.

Check to see what printers work with Vista, Vista will not work with just any printer on the market. I have two HP printers and two HP cameras that Vista will not work with. To get them to work I have to use drivers for different HP products and lose some functionality of my equipment.

I have Vista and my printer works great with it, it cost about $60,but its an all in one, printer, copier, scanner. Its an HP PSC 1410v. The ink is also inexpensive--about $14 for black ink and $17 for color at Wal-Mart. I bought the printer at Wal-Mart also. Hewlett-Packard.

'works' and 'Vista' in the same sentence... hmm, tricky.
