We have freedom of the press here unlike Venezuela........

Because RTCV publicly backed a violent coup against the democratically elected government of Venezuala, and the NY Times is only slightly to the left of Bush and poses no threat whatsoever.

Anyway, I thought you Yanks all had a massive hard-on for free speech. So much for that.

A different government. We have freedom of the press, they don't. I guess when you believe over the top nonsense such as the NY Times is trying to overthrow our government, then the details of how our government works vs. theirs might strain your brain.

So you're saying the government should shut down a newspaper on the basis of an allegation for which there is "little of no proof". I'm guessing you failed any civics courses that you took.

It's comments like yours that make me proud not to support the wacko right wing in our country. You are the type of person that controls the Republican party and I, like millions of Americans who are sick and tired or the fundamentalist right wing controlling this party, will be voting for change in the next election.

You had your chance and blew it. Republicans in the White House and controlling Congress, and look at you now. And all because of a mindset such as yours. Are you proud of yourself?

If you are not aware of the proof, it doesn't mean there is "little to no proof". Chavez is more democrat then the current and two previous US presidents.
