why the sponsored links in myspace seem to be about the things you like??

They're based on different things you search for on Google & Myspace Music. If you recently for example searched "my chemical romance" on the music tab, then mcr related links will appear on your page.

Perhaps it uses the same technology as google ads where it searches the page for certain words and returns ads based on that.

Or perhaps MySpace takes into account your age and directs certain advertisements towards you.

In any case, I don't see many ads while browsing because I use FireFox with the Ad Block Plus extension.
