I'm creating a CD for my friends/family back in Canada. I want it to have the theme of England/London. Ideally, the song would have a reference to London - directly or indirectly. For example, London Calling is one, but the song by Everything but the girl that references St. martin's lane is another.

My mind's gone blank on other specific tracks but themes which evoke London come from musicals such as Cats or Oliver.
Search material from groups such as Dire Straits, The Who, T Rex, The Rolling Stones etc.
Football Clubs such as Spurs, and Chelsea also had popular hits back in the seventies and eighties.
