that depends on where the leak is. if from a fuel line, you replace the line. if from the seal at the sending unit, replace the sending unit "O" ring. if the sending unit itself is leaking, the replace the entire unit. if there is a hole in the tank itself, or a seam in the tank is leaking, you can make a temporary fix with a fuel proof two part epoxy, but in the end the tank will have to come out to be thoroughly cleaned before welding, or the tank will need replacing.

Depends on where it is leaking and what the tank is constructed of... There are epoxies you can buy at most part stores that will seal small holes and splits in gas tanks. THey are the consistency of play dough and are activated by kneading them together to mix the 2 parts. Plastic tanks really should not be repaired - should be replaced.
Steel tanks may be repaired with the above-mentioned expoy. It is important to clean the area really well so the epoxy will stick.
Some will say tanks should not be repaired at all but I have had good luck with small holes in steel tanks using the epoxy.
If the hole is large, the tank should be removed and taken to a shop that specialized in radiator repairing. They may be able to repair it, but most often it is usually more cost effective to replace the tank than have it professionally repaired.
NEVER weld or braze a gas tank, even if empty. Leftover fuel vapors are easily ignited and bad things can happen. If in the slightest doubt about the integrity of the repair - just replace the tank. New ones can be had for most cars for less than $200.

go to the auto parts store theres this stuff that you put in your tank and it will seal the leak just ask the assistance at the parts store and they will get you the right stuff for your gas tank. if not than buy a whole new tank. they arent that much. either at a junk yard or parts store. just bought one brand new it cost only $90.oo and if you think of it if u dont stop the gas leak youll be wasting that much in leakin gas good luck.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
