For some reason that's how we learn our toughest lessons in life. We simply cannot comprehend we do not have the power to alter things and reject advice unilaterally. But when we do learn a hard lesson, it never leaves us!

Yes I most certainy have learned many things the hard way. But then again you have to live and learn rather then just living without learning.

Absolutely I would be hard pressed to come up with even one I didn't learn the hard way , but they have stuck with me as a result .

Not really. I've made mistakes and regret having made them. But my life has been pretty easy. Getting an excellent education from a great university played a big part in that. I've made mistakes but I've also made some smart choices .

Oh yes, I learned a big one this past month actually. The value of money, and it wasn't easy getting out of that one. I like that avatar, it's really unique.

Yes. I believe in finding out for yourself even if I get hurt. But even then, the lessons don't stick... hmm...

Yes,,, I never listened to my parents because I thought they were stupid and didn't understand anything... Now I know that they have already been there and done that,,, but you know how young people are! they have to find out for their self! Now my kids think I'm stupid LOL but in time they will understand that I have already done it...
