The concept of "getting your name out there" has no meaning. And there are no talent scouts, open tryouts or web sites to magically make you a star. nor can an agent do that, they are too busy representing their current actors.
The steps in becoming a professional actor are:
1. Get mom and dad to agree that you should try to be an actor. (If you don;t have them, you are done until you are 18!)
2. Act in all the school plays
3. Get a mentor;
4. Take professional acting classes
5 Be in more plays like in community theatres
6. Learn how to audition and interview
7. Prepare resume and head shot
8. Apply to agents
Well, that's a rough plan. it takes years and is very hard

Before you start acting, you should know how to act.

With regard to getting your name out there, you should start treating your career as a business. If you want to act professionally, you will be a free-lance professional. That means you have a product to SELL and that product is YOU. Just like a company you have to learn how to market that product so that people will see you. You have to know who your customers are, what they are looking for so that you can give them what you want.

Start going out to auditions, you can't just 'get your name out there' you need to go sell your self.

look for auditions and try out. keep doing that for a while, and maybe someone will like your talent and scout you.
