I received a few lifesaving medals when I was a police officer but the one I thought was coolest was a 5th grader had a severe asthma attack on a playground and "coded."
I got the call and came up, jumped the curb and rode my motorcycle up to where the school employees were doing CPR.
An off-duty fireman saw what I did and came running over and we took over CPR from the school employees until the EMS arrived with drugs to open his airway more.
That kid went from a 5th grader with no pulse and no breathing to the incredibly cool guy who is a college graduate and married man. It is an absolute privilege to talk to him today, and when I see him I always marvel at how things turned out.
I know that God is the one who saved him and I was just lucky enough to be a tool of his angels that day, but it was great. I am extremely proud of that day, and that I was allowed to play a part in the chain of his survival.

I have painted about 50.000 address numbers on curbs and driveways for folks at there homes.so the ems people mainly can find there homes easily at night and in the local paper there was an article saying that since the response time of ambulances is so quick now just in my county and i have done many other county's that its saving about a hundred life's a year, times the twenty years i have been doing this equals 1000s of people life's saved because i painted some numbers. It puts shivers up my spine sometimes thinking about all the people who are live now with there family's and not lieing in a grave because the ambulance personnel got there quickly to save there life.i saved my brother from drowning once.and i took some people out thru the trunk of there car before it caught fire.after there car rolled over many times on a highway.
