I for one am sick and tired of all the barrack room lawyers on this site who appear to know more than those investigating the disappearance of little Madeleine

I am a moderator on two other Q&A Sites and if some of the posts I have been reading about the Madeleine disappearance had appeared on these sites they would have immediateley been deleted and those posting them would be warned.

It seems every other question on this site is about the McCanns'. Most baying for their blood.

Who the heck are we to hang, draw, quarter, tar and feather, try and convict these people without knowing what the investigators have in the way of proof that the McCanns' are involved.

In such a high profile case if those investigating the case considered there was enough evidence to charge the parents don't you think they would have been charged by now?

The only evidence we the public have is what we are fed by the papers and the media and we all know how notorious they are. Their only real interest is selling more newspapers and getting higher ratings than their competitors.

I don't know whether the parents are guilty or not and neither do you or anyone else on this site. They may be and then they may not be. The only people empowered to decide that is a Jury, when or if they are tried.

True, they appear to have been very stupid and thoughtless in leaving their children alone in the first place but that does not make them killers.

May I ask you a question?

How would you feel if you were being hounded by the media and members of Yahoo Answers UK and a great number of the population crying out for your blood and for you to be charged with the murder of your daughter (if indeed she is dead) if you were completely innocent and had nothing whatsoever to do with her disappearance?

If they are not responsible for Madeleine's disappearance, other than leaving her alone in her room for so long, you must remember that this one thoughtless act will remain with them for the rest of their lives and they will never forget it.

On the other hand if it is shown and PROVED IN A COURT OF LAW that they were responsible I agree that they deserve everything they get, and more besides

But lets for God's sake let those who know what they are doing and who are investigating Madeleine's disappearance do their jobs. Whether the McCanns' are involved or not.

In my opinion the most important thing at the moment is to actually find out where Madeleine is now and what happened.

Many years ago another girl disappeared in Devon called Genette Tate. True she was older than Madeleine, but she simply appeared to vanish from the face of the earth. She still has not been found. No one knows whether she is still alive or not.

The parents of this girl were also hounded by the media and public because they were all convinced the parents were responsible. It was eventually shown that the parents were completely innocent.

This is what is happening to the McCanns' now. They are being hounded when none of us (the public) has one shred evidence yet that they are involved.

I am ashamed of Yahoo Answer UK for allowing this witch hunt to continue on this site. What Yahoo are allowing to continue in my view is shameful.

If Madeleine's parents are made aware of what is being said here and they are innocent, how do you think they will feel?

The vast majority of the subscribers on this site are I believe caring people and would never dream of finding anyone guilty of a crime without proof or a trial. This answer is not directed at them. Neither is this answer directed solely at the asker but also to those who seem to think they are Judge and Jury in this case.

I expect most of my ratings to be thumbs down for this reply but with what is going on at this site at the moment in regard to the Madeleine disappearance, I feel this had to be said. I also feel that those who may give me the thumbs down are not looking at this case subjectively and they are the ones who are condemning the McCanns' without even a trial.

Something is very strange about their story,I thought this from the beginning .The evidence of blood in the Van is a clue that they know what happened to the child. They should be charged and One of them will talk.

i agree with Kate
if maddie was,nt left alone she would,nt of disappeared.
if i left my kids on there own and went out my kids would of disappeared because social services would probably have been round and taken them off me.
so they should be charge with something

Either way, the parents are to blame.

Who would think of leaving toddlers at home with the door unlocked???

unfortunately the media has not released many accurate details of the disappearance. if they did indeed leave their children unsupervised they should be held accountable.
