IT'S SEMI-FORMAL!
SO WEAR DRESSES, SKIRTS, TIES, ETC.

BRING IPODS FOR MUSIC & JACKETS BECAUSE IT MIGHT GET COLD AT NIGHT =D.

Well, semi-formal means you dont have to wear ties or jackets. But a collared blouse and a decent pair of jeans would be fine. Then again dont forget that usually sandals and slippers are still not allowed.

Semi Formal Means SUIT but not a Tuxedo
Formal means Formal Dresses and Tuxedos (think Prom) but Semi Formal means Formally dressed up but only Half-way.
So basically its Nice shoes, Suite, and nice tie... but you don't have to go all out with Tie pin, cuff links, etc

Ok, I saw a couple of answers that are WAY off. Semi-formal means SUIT. IE: Jacket, matching pants, button-down collared shirt, tie, and nice shoes. You do not wear a polo, you do not wear casual cacky pants, you definitely do not wear flip-flops, tennis shoes, or any other casual type shoe. Wear dress shoes. Wear an undershirt under your button down!!! And formal does not mean that's when you wear a suit. Formal is a tuxedo...period.

good day, there is different stages of "formal": Black Tie gown regulations~: (potential Tux and long clothing), glitter and glitz, night/long clothing generally strappy or strapless with sheer hosiery and prosperous strappy, even steel sandals/pumps. Semi-Formal is: Cocktail gown (not long as that's seen Formal), heels & sensible jewelery. desire that enables.
