If this is an accurate representation of your science work sheet, I have little respect for your school. Start with the reference and draw your own conclusion about whether an isolated electron, nucleon, quark (if they can ever be isolated), other baryons, or mesons should be considered matter.

Atoms are the building blocks of matter, by definition, so yes, any matter is composed by atoms; remember that the atom is the smallest bit of matter that science is able to study, atoms put together make up molecules, molecules put together make up anything (any matter)

not necessarily; smaller particles can be considered matter such as electrons or quarks(if you some how find them on their own that is)
