I had a yellow crayon partially melt in our van. My son decided to be helpful and wiped it up with his white shirt. It's a really cute shirt, but now it has yellow crayon all over it. I tried washing it and treated it with Shout! but it didn't help. Does anyone know of a way to get it out please?

There is a product called Goo Gone that claims to be able to remove Chewing Gum, Crayon, Stickers, Labels, Makeup, Candlewax, Tape Residue, Glue, Tar, Bugs, Sap, Grease, Soot, etc. I don't know how well it will work if you've already dried the shirt mentioned in your dryer, but I use it periodically on sticky stuff and it has always worked for me!

Try this I saw it on a cookery prog.Get some unprinted paper and soak it in water. While you are doing that have a heavy metal spoon cooking over a burner until it is well hot.Place the paper over the wax crayon stain and get the spoon and rub over it.Its suposed to melt the wax and be absorbed into the paper although I have never tried it.Best of luck and don,t burn yourself.

You can try ironing the spots with brown paper (like a grocery bag) on either side of the spot. This usually works best before you wash it the first time. Don't let the iron get too hot. Greased Lightening might work, but I think the shirt is probably ruined.
