Please tell me! I have no idea, i've looked on google and I have a report due tomorrow!!!!

um it's because the atmosphere that's around the earth is blue and something like that i dont know... u have book report tomorrow, aww i know how u feel...just like me why do u leave it untill the last day!!?? well i do that too and heres an idea search it on google go to a book store or this is a good answer: IT'S BLUE CAZ IT WANTS TO BE BLUE!. kk good luck =D!

it's not exactly blue. We call the sky blue because our eyes are sensitive to blue.


Blue sky is caused by Rayleigh scattering. White light is a combination of 7 different colors. During the day, when light hits the atmosphere, light is refracted or changes direction. Some of the color bounces off the atmosphere, get scattered, or pass through the atmosphere. The atmosphere absorbs colors that have high frequency. Violet and blue has the highest frequency, they got absorbed by the atmosphere and scattered around. The combination of violet and blue gives us the color of the sky we see. The other colors have low frequency and pass through the atmosphere or bounces off the atmosphere. We can't see them because they don't get scattered

Yupp,, Its due to scattering of light by the particles in the air, And Due to scattering of light Sky seems to be bule , but in actual sky is black, the light comming from sun to earth crosses the atmosphere and get scattered by the particles in the atmosphere, same way the mountains and things far away looks Blue...
