According to an insert taken from the East Anglia Tourist Board in England, Humpty Dumpty was a powerful cannon used in the Siege of Colchester during the English Civil War. It was mounted on top of the St Mary's at the Wall Church in Colchester defending the city against siege in the summer of 1648. Although Colchester was a Royalist stronghold, it was besieged by the Roundheads for 11 weeks before finally falling. The church tower was hit by enemy cannon fire and the top of the tower was blown off, sending "Humpty" tumbling to the ground. Naturally all the King's horses and all the King's men (Royalist cavalry and infantry respectively) tried to mend "him" but in vain.

Well pardon me for maybe spreading rumours but Humpty Dumpty was flashing himself and got into terrible row with all the kings men and he had been drinking. So he said come on I will take you all to the ******* cleaners and a fight broke out and he smashed his shell. Oh ok I am talking **** look he just fell.

he was killed by an assassin.
the king ordered it to be done, because humpty knew something about him and humpty said to bring £100,000 to him or he would tell everyone.
he told the king to meet him at the wall and bring the money in a suitcase.
so the king ordered the assassin to push humpty off the wall.
and so he did.
and you want to know WHY all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again???
cos the king ordered them to!
but you've got to admit, Humpty Dumpty had it coming.

He was pushed, a rival king had tried to "poach" him. Any way Humpty Dumpty had mental problems, he was cracked.
He really was'nt a bad egg though !

There was a war on. Had they sent the paramedics instead of the king's horses and men, Humpty might have survived the injuries he sustained as a result of the heavy shelling.

Contrary to popular belief, Humpty was a clutz with a horrible sense of balance due to a chronic inner ear infection. It was his own fault and I think it's about time he started accepting some responsibility for his own actions.

I heard he had been on a bender for a few days and was really pi$$ed. He was waiting for a taxi and just passed out through being drunk.
That's what I heard anyway!

Why was he up there in the first place? Bet he was a "peeping Tom". The king got jealous, shot him with a bow and arrow, lose his balance, and fell. All the king's horses and all the king's men can't put him together again.
King's orders.................sorry...........
