skinny jeans, leggings, off the shoulder tops, neon colors, sparkles, side ponytails, like all the fashions we see now!

I once heard that the 80's were like a herpes: they just keep coming back. I really don't like that 80's style very much, especially those skinny jeans with flats; they make people look all weird with skinny legs and big feet they. They look better with heels and structured tops, though. Still I think that we're doing it better now, but we really should start making something new and stop going into the past searching for ideas.
Get ready cause a 70's trend is strating and it will be in full flare for spring '08.

I wasn't born yet in the 80's, but my mom, told me that the 80's fashion is coming back to style: skinny jeans, leggings, flats, babydolls, gel shoes ar whatever it's called...but i think OUR version is way better then the 80's!!! no offense to anyone who lived in the 80's tho.

Over-sized men's suit jackets---roll up the sleeves to 3/4 length to see the lining --- (bought from thrift stores) worn with leggings or mini skirts. Polka dot tiered mini skirts were big. I preferred plain black minis worn with black tights or leggings. Fishnet stockings. Wide studded belts worn low over x-tra large white t-shirts (with the sleeves rolled up).

Jewelery: Long earrings, or for a while, one long earring in one ear and a stud in the other. Chains, Gothic or Renaissance looking broaches worn at neck. Gothic looking rhinestone rings. (rhinestones were big)

Hair: Asymmetrical haircuts, spikey bangs.

Big colors and color combinations: pink + gray, turquoise, Cobalt blue and of course, lots of black, white and red.

Shoes: 1950's or 1960's pumps----also bought from thrift stores at the time--- worn with rolled up 501's and a big white men's shirt and a wide white leather studded belt. My sister had a pair of turquoise 1960's pumps that I loved.

Pumps also worn with mini-skirts. Yes, flats were a big thing too, but pumps were everywhere. Flat boots were cool----low and rollable tops. My least favorite, later on in the 80's were flat, white, fringed boots with a southwestern flair. Ewwwww.

Most of what's in style now, only it looked better back then: skinny jeans, Van-type shoes, legwarmers, leggings, tights, long sweaters, short dresses, lots of color, plastic jewelry, flats, layering, really short skirts...
